Subcommittee – Animal Welfare
Tom studied Clinical Animal Behaviour at the University of Lincoln whilst working in dog rescue. He graduated with a distinction, and went on to become a Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist for dogs. He currently practices in North Lincolnshire under Companion Minds Animal Behaviour & Training. Alongside his clinical practice, Tom is studying part time for his PhD in Animal Behaviour & Welfare at the University of Lincoln, within the Animal Behaviour, Cognition, and Welfare research group. Whilst his clinical practice focuses on companion animals, he has a wide interest in animal welfare in general. His research focuses on the understanding, conceptualisation and measurement of animal behaviour and welfare, with a keen interest in novel applications of statistical and mathematical models to use for this purpose.
