Join us for a thought-provoking webinar exploring research into public perceptions of companion-rabbit ownership and housing. Based on interviews with 49 community-event attendees, this research reveals how tradition, social norms and limited awareness shape expectations of rabbit care. We will discuss why former owners might choose not to keep rabbits again, the surprise surrounding rabbits’ space and welfare needs, and the vital role acquisition sources can play in promoting good practice. The session will also consider the difficult balance between improving rabbit welfare and finding homes for rabbits in rescue.
